The pet groomer will manually express your dog's anal glands. This involves inserting a gloved finger into the rectum and gently squeezing each of the glands empty of its contents. If impacted anal glands become a recurrent problem, manual expression might need to be done on a regular basis. A recommendation to see your Veterinarian maybe advised.
